When it comes to releasing music, debuts are always fun. It’s always special to see an artist stepping on to the scene for the first month after months and months of planning and strategizing for the big day. Dropping the first song that will be attached to your name is definitely a big deal and I get so excited when I come across artists who completely over achieve when given the opportunity. An artist who fits in that category is a singer/songwriter named Tyler Page.
The Cape Town, South Africa native was born to sing and its made apparent in her music. Just last week the young artist released her very first single; a song called, “Don’t Believe the Aliens” and the team and I at Early Rising have been raving about it ever since. From the moment you turn on this brand new offering, you’ll immediately fall in love with this girl. Tyler just has talent. I wish there was a better way to put it, but it just seems like she was meant to sing and it shows in this debut release of hers. It is very rare that you see an artist’s first song be a knockout, but that is exactly the case when it comes to Tyler. Her vocal talents are nothing short of heavenly as her voice effortlessly floats on top of the meticulous production. I was able to grab a quote from Tyler and her team about the meaning of the song and she explained:
“Apart from lyrically & emotionally complimenting 2020 immensely, this song will always have a special place in my heart being the first piece of music I get to share with the world. Coming to terms with 2020 is nothing short of believing in aliens, I think we can all agree. Our world almost seems unrecognisable but we’re all going through it together. My song, ‘Don’t Believe The Aliens’, has taught me to expect the unexpected.”
This impressive release is nothing but a testament to Tyler’s talent bit also the hardworking and effort put in by herself and the rest of her team. I couldn’t be more happy to showcase this one today! I’ve attached the Spotify link down below, so give this one a listen and let us know what you think!
