Appearing on the Early Rising platform today is an artist who needs no introduction despite this being her very first release. I’m an absolute sucker for debut releases. There’s something exciting about stumbling on an artist who is just beginning their career. It’s the sweet spot. Artistic visions and goals are being put into motion with their entire bright future is ahead of them. Without further ado, it is my pleasure to welcome Pricie on to our page today for an impressive debut of her song and video titled, “Too Dang Good”.
The Nigerian-born, Melbourne, Australia based artist was brought up in a religious household which exposed her to a myriad of different types of music, from Gospel to Nigerian Funk. Those who are exposed to music at such a young age often times follow suit, which is what we have with her. Drawing inspiration from Nigerian legends like Fela Kuti and CeCe Wianna to well-known R&B staples like Lauryn Hill and Queen Latifah, PRICIE is crafting a sound that pays homage to the greats while still making sure to stay true to her unique self.
Her newest song, “Too Dang Good” is just too dang fun. I got a chance to check out the video and I immediately knew that this artist was going to be a star. Not only are her vocals and flow superb, but she has a confidence about herself that you need to have if you want to be noticed; and she most definitely has it. In order for you to truly understand what I’m saying, you have to watch the video. I’ve attached the link down below, so check out the new offering and let us know what you think!
