HAVE U HEARD FEST W/ WESTON ESTATE

Back during the midst of the pandemic, UNC student Aditya Surana and his roommate Abhi Gadudasu had a vision of creating a festival venue to highlight the hub of talented artists in North Carolina. Over the last few months, that vision blossomed into something magical. After reaching out to some of the most talented and charismatic artists in NC, Aditya created a line up, found a venue, formed sponsorships and brought a once distant idea into fruition. Have U Heard Fest highlights the talented plethora of North Carolina artists performing at the concert.

After a solid 18 months without live performances, I think all of us have been itching to finally see our favorite artists live again. Seeing all the artists perform, I was reminded the vitality of the connection between artist and fan in a concert setting. The shared feelings of excitement and joy between fans and artists is something I know both groups have been craving. I also enjoyed seeing the spirit of love and support between fellow artists and creatives. Being a fan only beginning to immerse myself in the North Carolina music community I can tell you already these artists genuinely want to see each other grow and flourish.

Not only did I have the pleasure of getting to see the festival in person, but also the delight to interview the concerts headline act: Weston Estate! You can check out the interview out now on our Vimeo!

“Performing at Have U Heard Fest was by far one of the most catharctic experiences I’ve ever had. It gave me the validation not just as an artist but as a performer being able to turn up in my hometown” – Abel Maasho

“It was my first time officially performing as Curtis Waters and I was really nervous but it felt great to be able to do it all in my hometown with all my friends. The support and community in North Carolina is really special” – Curtis Waters

“The energy was batshit crazy. It was so fun performing after the peak of the pandemic, and it was really amazing to see the budding North Carolina music scene get out and rage. Definitely gotta be more coming soon” – TGBEAM
