Los Angeles based punk rapper Dave Coresh is starting 2022 off with a bang, with the first single off of his upcoming EP entitled, ‘SMOKE N MIRRORS’, which was released on January 7.
Dave wastes no time on “Talk2Me” jumping into the hook off the rip. He grabs the listener’s attention with his punk rap vocals showcasing a distinctly unique cadence and flows. The slashing guitars, powerful drums and cathartic chorus come together like pieces on a puzzle creating this catchy and innovative single.
The message of the track is pretty self explanatory: my time is precious, don’t be wasting it. Dave gives a nod to the greats with lines like: “I’m flying with the fish, I’m swimming with the pigeons, come and dive in the abyss.” and the song also showcases a feature from member of Coresh’s NO FUN LA collective, Mother Wata, helping to drive home the hook reciprocating the same upbeat energy and creative flows.
Dave comes into this release feeding off of the buzz of his debut single NOBODY CARES, released October 30. The track has already amassed over 25,000 Spotify streams, Lyrical Lemonade coverage and playlisting from Shrek Knows Rap, Better Off Silent, Let’s Show and Tell and others.
