Title: “what do you do”: Music Curator & Founder of That Good Sh*t
Age?: 22
Hometown / living now?: Hometown is Santa Clarita, CA but I now live in Brooklyn!
—
ER: What is the thing that keeps you so drawn towards music?:
Annabelle: That warm feeling of overwhelming excitement that I feel in my chest whenever I hear a song that I love! And how music is always there during the most important moments in my life.
ER: What are you working on now?:
Annabelle: Working on putting together some shows for the summertime, getting ready for the release of DiZ’s next album, creating a new interview series for That Good Sh*t as well as new merch!
ER: What project are you most proud of working on/ was most memorable?:
Annabelle: Definitely touring with Earthgang for their Ghetto Gods album listening shows! I have been a fan of theirs for years, so I’m grateful that they trusted me to help spread the word about their album. Also, That Good Sh*t’s most recent Sunday Sounds show in December was so much fun; we brought together some incredible artists and created a beautiful community atmosphere.
ER: What are your goals for the future?:
Annabelle: I want to support as many of my homies as possible and help everyone reach their dreams. I want to open doors to allow great, authentic music to be heard by the world. I also want to help DiZ reach his goals and become one of the most well respected artists in the game. I also want to organize a HUGE festival one day, that’s a lifelong dream!!
ER: What is your mantra? What guides you?:
Annabelle: What really guides me is the future version of myself. I picture her in my head and always try to put myself in her shoes. How would Annabelle in 5 years handle this situation? How can I show up as my future self today? I find that by working to embody my future self, now, I am able to grow faster and move with more confidence. Also, one of my big mantras is: Get inspired intentionally. I think it’s so important to make time and space for inspiration.
ER: What is your favorite part about music/working in the music industry?:
Annabelle: The community. I have made so many lifelong friends through working in the music industry. I am surrounded by the coolest people ever who are unafraid to express themselves through music, fashion, art, etc. My friends push me to try new things and take risks, which is something I am so grateful for. Also, my fit game has exponentially improved since working in music!
ER: What is the lasting impression that you want to leave?:
Annabelle: I want to emphasize the importance of authenticity and being unapologetically joyful. In all you do, especially in music, being your authentic self and not being afraid to get excited about the things that make you happy will allow you to reach great heights and be your best self. I want to make the music industry a more friendly, compassionate place!
