Maasho / Black Tie Party

Hailing from the Tar Heel state myself, it’s always an honor when I have the opportunity to cover a fellow North Carolinian on the Early Rising platform. Today, I want to throw y’all on to 20-year-old Ethiopian multi-hyphenate creative from Raleigh, North Carolina, Maasho. He recently delivered us his newest single, “Black Tie Party”, which I think y’all are really gonna mess with.

With an intense yet smooth vocal delivery, Maasho’s distinguished voice and lyrical prowess interject perfectly over the suave trap production of 4amdripfromdubai and ProdHoops. BTP feels like just the right amount of divergence from what the young artist has been offering us with recent releases, while also maintaining a level of cohesivity that ties everything together. For reference, bump “I Got It”, “Roses and Daffodils”, and BTP back-to-back, and you’ll know exactly what I mean.

A creative force who consistently wins over the hearts of new listeners with every release, Maasho is one of the most promising up-and-comers on the scene. I am confident that “Black Tie Party” is a track that will resonate with his current fan base while also ushering in a new wave of listeners.

As always, make sure to hit that spotify preview below and tap in with Maasho across socials @abelmaasho. Thank you for reading and enjoy!
