Padma // Beltway

Padma‘s new single “Beltway”, an arrestingly soft indie rock number layered in smart and inventive songwriting, has been stuck in my head for a few days now. It’s one of those tracks you’ll want to listen to more than once. Produced by Padma, Richard Thompson, and Sheel Davè, “Beltway” is the Boston-based singer-songwriter’s latest single. Mixed and mastered by Giancarlo Lino, “Beltway” starts soaring at 2:20.

But it’s a brief reprieve, albeit a tease from the pop potential Padma seems more than capable of. “Beltway” whittles itself into a down-to-earth farewell, one that only leaves me itching for new music from her.
