Marika Sage is easily one of my favorite rappers coming out of the Underground right now and her song with producer Esgo, Mad as a MF, really shows me her technical skill within rapping.
While some of Marika’s past songs have shown her singing or melodic ability this song goes deeper into her rapping bag, and she executes this perfectly. The beat serves her well and gives her tons of space to rap while also still being interesting and bringing life to the song.
Further, her voice is extremely unique and one of the reasons I enjoy listening to her so much. I can truly say no other artist sounds like her, and every single song Marika releases she improves or brings a new style to her catalog and that is why I enjoy being a fan of her so much.
