Graham Bright // Redland

The lyrical story-telling stood out to me right away with Graham Bright’s “Redland”. The start of the song starts with a soft piano ballad that shares a recollection of feel good memories about a past significant other. Then Graham brings a realization to his listeners that breaks out with a fractious guitar and some power cords as he serves of us explanation why that person is past lover. A long history of running in circles with someone that always leads to a fight. I think we can all relate running in circles with someone you care for. No one wins and everyone loses.

The Rockville, Maryland native possess so much raw emotion behind every smooth inflection in his vocals that is paired perfectly with his song writing. There is a fresh sound within Graham Bright. I hear influences of Frank Ocean and Lucky Daye in “Redland” but not too much that I would mistake who is playing through my headphones. Graham Bright is doing something fresh that is his own.

2023 might just be the year we see Graham Bright make a big break in the music scene. This guy has the capability to make hit after hit and to be a house hold name in the near future. Im really excited to see what music he puts next. Till then listen to Graham Bright’s “Redland” now below:
