Ed Staal’s new track “Only Woman” gives us a true taste of rhythm and blues serving us with soulful runs behind his powerful voice.The talented singer-songwriter from Hertfordshire who now resides in Battersea shares the experiences of falling for a dangerous woman one cannot withstand. Ed took a very different approach with “Only Woman” compared to his last project “Battle scars & Broken hearts” and I have to say I love it. With “Only Woman” we really get to see Ed shine as a singer and show off is talents. There is no doubt his song writing skills are good but his strong fervent voice gives his lyrics life. A display of vintage soul and a gospel-rooted production was at display that made me feel uplifted while listening to this track.
This song serves a story many of us can relate to man or woman. Having a deep desire for someone who is no good for you and have the feeling of temptation around them is confusing. What your mind says no to your body says otherwise, leaving to pursue something that you want, not something necessarily good for you.
